Which Linux do you use? Mandriva? Ubuntu? I'm just curious =P

ubuntu =P I tried installing it before with Automatix2 when I had just installed Feisty, but it didn't work. I don't know why. It didn't install anything but showed that it was installed... I thought I'd try downloading the program from google's page, and it wasn't complicated at all... Just needed a quick look at ubuntuforums to see what to do with the .bin file.

Hehehe :) Another Ubunteros ;) Isn't it nice to have such a reactive and nice community? :) I'm also under Ubuntu, well, Kubuntu to be precise. 7.04 and waiting for 7.10. Oh, and I'm using/testing Compiz Fusion too. If you wanna try, lemme know :)

I used beryl for a long time, in fact I abandoned it last week, because of two problems. First, my favorite IM (Mercury Messenger) didn't like beryl. And, more important, I couldn't watch Hayate no Gotoku h264 version from Eclipse with beryl running. Some parts like the opening were very slow. I guess it wouldn't like Google Earth too, but maybe that's just me.

Mmmm. Did you try to run your fav programs /after/ launching Beryl? Which video card do you have? ATI or Nvidia?

Oh, found the problem, there's some info on it on the program's page... http://www.mercury.to/index.php?page=Wiki&wikipage=LinuxCompizJavaBug on the beryl page it links to there's a perfect description of my problem - "blank windows that don't display contents correctly." It was interesting because if I opened the program with beryl already launched, it didn't display anything, blank window. If I opened beryl after, it freezed the window, couldn't do anything with it. Problem found. But still it doesn't help with opening a 1280x720 video file T_T I'll try Compiz Fusion later... Truth is I'd try it anyway, can't let it pass =]
